Now that you have the Lift Bounce down, it’s time to move on to the Force Bounce Cascade. The Force Bounce is harder and faster than the Lift Bounce, but it is still quite manageable to learn with practice. As the name implies, in Force Bounce, you throw the balls to ground so that they bounce back up to hand-height. Just like with the Lift Bounce Cascade, the key to learning this pattern is starting with two balls and then moving up to three when you’re ready.
If you want to see a video tutorial, check out this video I made:
Stand with your hands shoulder-width apart and grip the balls on the sides so that your palms are facing each other (Image 1). Throw the (green) ball in your RH so that it lands on the ground in front of your right foot (Image 2). No, that was not a typo. In Force Bounce, the ball hits the ground on the same side it was thrown. You may have to play around with the angle to get the ball to go into the opposite hand. As soon as the green ball hits the ground, throw the purple ball from your LH.
Catch both balls (Image 4-5).
Just like with the Lift Bounce, keep practicing this two-ball exchange until you’re comfortable starting with both hands. Make your throws consistent so that you can catch the balls without reaching or moving. Practice with one ball at a time if you need to. Having the two-ball exchange solid is key to juggling three balls!
Now, it’s time to add another ball and begin juggling the cascade. Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart. Hold two balls in your RH and one ball in your LH (Image 6). Angle your RH and throw the ball that’s closer to your fingertips down to the ground (Image 7).
As soon as the red ball hits the ground, throw the purple ball (Image 8). As soon as the purple ball hits the ground, throw the green ball (Image 9).
You’ve now thrown all three balls once, so the sequence begins again. Continue throwing the balls in this order: red-purple-green; red-purple-green. Alternate between your left and right hands.
You can also stop throwing after you throw the green ball the first time (Image 10 and 11). In that case, you will have juggled a 3-ball flash.
